Last week's adventure: Birdy
Last Thursday afternoon we decided that we needed to grill some steaks for lunch, and since it was a partially nice day outside (one of like the four that we've had all spring), we went for it. As we climbed the stairs out of our place this is who we found:
Birdy.
He was just standing there at the top of our stairs like a creeper... He didn't make any attempt to move or fly away.
After we realized Birdy wasn't going any where, we decided he should join us for lunch. Chad went and got a piece of bread and set the whole thing in front of Birdy. I explained to him that it probably wasn't a good idea to give the bird a whole piece of bread that was at least three times it's size; so that's how we got the crumbs instead. Good job Chad!
After the failed bread attempt, Chad decided Birdy was probably too cold to eat...
Good job Chad!
The bird sat there the whole time regardless of how close we got to him. After lunch, it was time to get ready for work and we didnt want to leave him outside while we were gone. There was a neighbor cat somewhere and we didn't want to take any chances...
So we found a box! And Chad made him a bed.
Good job Chad!
It wasn't long after I had gotten to work that I got a text from Chad saying "Birdy flew away." After making sure Birdy hadn't "flew away" in my apartment so ended our grand adventure for the week. Whatever had been wrong with the bird was soon gotten over, but not without Chad first realizing that "we saved a life today!"
Good job Chad!
Chad would! And no an entire piece of bread would probably not have been a good idea! lol
